Latinos for New Zealand

Latinos for New Zealand Charitable Trust (LINZ) started as a response to the growing need for human connection post-COVID-19. We founded Women Circle New Zealand to nurture minds and souls, supporting and empowering young women. This project led to Latinos for New Zealand Community Group in 2022, expanding to all genders and encouraging inclusivity through cultural events, education and community support.

Driven by a profound dream deeply rooted in Maori cultural principles, which highlight the significance of dreams and signs, Carol Morgan, an Argentinian lawyer and Chairman of Latinos for New Zealand, turned this vision into a reality. It wouldn’t have been possible without the other members of the Latinos’ family tree: Marcela Aarancibia, Cecilia Martinez Tobar, Lucrecia Ciravegna, and our volunteer consultants Soledad Pineda and Malena Rasetto.

Our mission is to catalyse a positive shift within our social structure by supporting integration and collaborative social action, celebrating the community’s collective power, and embracing diverse cultural contributions. That’s how LINZ became a Charitable Trust in 2024.
